The last day of term is Saturday 19th November. Exams are held next week.
We are pleased to welcome Donald Vleugels to our teaching staff. Donald will be teaching ballet on Fridays and is a great addition to Central School of Dance
Payment for all classes and exams is due by Saturday 21st January 2012. Payments received after this time will not be eligible for any discount unless prior arrangement has been made
All Dance Bravura Photographs – both backstage and front of house are now on Emma Corck’s website and ready for purchase (www.emmajcorck.com) If you are interested please contact her for the password to access them
It is not long now until Dance Bravura and this is reminder that if you have not already bought your tickets for the show there are still some seats available for the Thursday Evening and Saturday matinee performances. Please contact Harlow Playhouse Box Office.
Please also make sure that you have arranged your transport and contact Julie Keely on 07518 049355 to book a place on the coach if required.
If you have been unable to obtain tickets for the performance that you wanted we are operating a ticket exchange on this website. Tickets that have been purchased that are no longer wanted will be listed below together with the name and contact details of the person who currently has them.
All invoices for next term have now been sent. We have had problems with the computer programme and several invoices have been sent in code. If yours is one of them or there was no attachment at all please contact Jenny on 07966 134084 or jenny@centralschoolofdance.co.uk and we will send it in a different format. We apologise for this and are working on it with the programme writers.
Sadly, Bill, who was our pianist for many years, passed away last week after a long illness. The funeral will be held at St Mary's Shenfield on Monday 14th March at 11am.


This year held on Sunday 23rd January 2011 a number of students were awarded scholarships and together with pupils from across Essex enjoyed classes with Clair Thomas. The pupils in the first class of the day, for grades 1 to 2 ballet, learnt the Entrance of Friends from Coppelia. The second class for grades 3 to 5 ballet learnt The Waltz of the Hours also from Coppelia. The final class for grades 6 and above tackled the Waltz from Les Slyphides

Clair trained at the Royal Ballet Upper School winning the Adeline Genne Gold Award at the age of 19, and the Prix de Lausanne Competition. She has performed with the English National Ballet , the Dutch National and the London City Ballet Company. The day was accompanied by Debbie Parks.
